Cinzia Canneri
Cinzia Canneri is a photojournalist who documents social issues related to the exploitation of work and related health problems, migration and gender issues. Her Come Due Ali project on asbestos victims received an award for excellence at the Poy (Pictures of the Year International) and first place for Best Portfolio at the Umbria World Fest Award. She is engaged in a long-term project on the journey of Eritrean women to Europe, documenting the various stages along the way, from Israel to Egypt. She has covered the migration of the Horn of Africa especially in Ethiopia on the occasion of the historic peace agreement between Eritrea and Ethiopia. She has been published in international magazines such as Lens New York Times, Days Japan, 6mois, XLsemanal, Aftenposten. She works as a photography teacher and trainer of social workers with the use of images. She is also the artistic director of the FolloWme social art festival in Follonica.
