Christine Smallwood is a food and travel writer and the author of An Appetite for Umbria: the people, the places, the food, one of a series of books which brings human interest to food tourism. Following the award winning follow-up title on Puglia, she is currently researching An Appetite for Lombardia to coincide with Expo 2015 Milano. A member of the Guild of Food Writers, she also works as a food tourism consultant with a focus on promoting cross-cultural understanding and the benefits that follow.
