Chiara Piaggio has two decades of experience in Sub-Saharan Africa. With a degree in Philosophy and specialization in Anthropology, she focuses on African culture and literature, addressing significant changes impacting the continent. She provides consultancy services in philanthropy, undertaking various missions on behalf of different foundations and institutions in sixteen African countries, with a focus on development and sustainability.

She collaborates with "MicroMega" and other journalistic outlets, the publishing industry, and sector-specific festivals. In France, she has worked at the Louvre and for the publishing house Gallimard. For Feltrinelli, she has co-edited, alongside Igiaba Scego, the anthologies "Africana: Telling the Continent Beyond Stereotypes" (2021) and "Africana: Journey into the Literary History of the Continent" (2024).
