Caroline Namara
Caroline Namara knows what rural women want. As a radio journalist and social worker in the remote rural area of Bushenyi in Western Uganda – she has heard first-hand the many challenges rural women and farmers face and understands what needs to be done to engage and empower rural women.
She currently works with Radio Bushenyi FM as a presenter in family, children and farmers programs and recently supported a Farm Radio International Project in her community which worked with 40 women's groups to build the skills of women members to contribute content to interactive farm radio programs. She is also a program officer for Capacity Development with the Western Ankole Civil society Forum (WACSOF) and holds bachelor's degree in Development Studies, a Diploma in Education Secondary and certificates in Journalism, Public Administration and Management and HIV/AIDS.
