Caitlin L Chandler is a freelance investigative and longform journalist based in Berlin, Germany, where she covers politics, migration and human rights. Her writing and reporting has appeared or is forthcoming in the New York Review of Books, IRIN, Al Jazeera, VICE News, Dissent Magazine, the Nation Magazine, Guernica, the Guardian and more. She is on the Editorial Board of Africa is a Country, the recipient of an International Reporting Project fellowship for Sudan and an Anne LaBastille Writing Residency for nonfiction. In 2018-2019, she is part of a cross-European investigative journalism project on migration supported by IE4J and also the recipient of an Otto Brenner grant as part of a cross-border team.
