Barbara D'Amico is a freelance journalist and editorial consultant. She writes on economics and employment for national newspapers (Il Foglio, Fanpage.it) and independent editorial projects (Slow News and Without Filter). She has written in-depth articles on job sharing, the gig economy and platform workers' rights. In December 2019, following undisclosed cuts in freelancer fees, she resigned from the Italian daily Corriere della Sera, explaining the reasons why in a post on social media that went viral. Since 2018 she has written and edited a newsletter on the world of work entitled The Italian Job.
