Alessandro Barbano is deputy editor of the Italian daily Il Messaggero and visiting lecturer in the Language of Journalism at the La Sapienza University of Rome. He is the author of Professionisti del dubbio (1997), L'Italia del giornali fotocopia (2003), De-generazioni (2007), Studiare da giornalista (2009) and Dove andremo a finire (2011) which won the Ginestra d'oro per la Cultura award. His latest book, co-written with Vincenzo Sassu, is Il manuale del giornalismo, due to be published by Laterza in March 2012.
