Alberto Urbinati è presidente e socio fondatore dell'associazione sportiva dilettantistica Liberi Nantes, che dal 2010 gestisce il campo sportivo XXV Aprile. Per l'associazione Urbinati è anche promotore dell'attività escursionistica, che si affianca a quella calcistica. Dal 2017 è inoltre membro della Commissione Territoriale di Roma per il Riconoscimento della Protezione Internazionale.
