Back to the past: the global attack on women, rights and social achievements

From the so-called Pillon proposal of law and the dangers for women and minors in situations of violence, to the attacks on the law on abortion with various "pro-life" motions presented in the municipal councils of different cities of Italy, and on to the World Congress of Families in Verona: behind the umbrella of the "defence of life" and of the "traditional family" lies the attempt by ultra-right-wing and ultra-Catholic movements to turn back the clock and wipe out individual freedoms and social conquests. Meanwhile, the female body has become a battleground for repressive policies and a tool for racist, Islamophobic, homophobic and sexist speeches. Are our rights in danger? How can this attack be repulsed?
