Photography in the internet age is becoming more and more frenetic and "instantaneous", but for some photographers slow working rhythms and an accurate research and preparatory work still remain crucial. The creation of a long photographic project allows the themes or the stories to acquire a good visual depth and to be narrated in their complexity. Different from standard journalism, the kind of work that goes under the wide definition of "documentary photography" is often complex and can vary a lot in approach and style from author to author.
