Andrew Garthwaite is a London-based statistician completing his doctorate this year. He was a journalist for Now or Never!, an English teacher in South Korea, and a medical statistician at the University of Cambridge. Now he trains data journalists in statistics, and is developing a curriculum for a wider reach. A proud advocate of graphic journalism, he is also a freelance illustrator for the animation desk of Coda-Story, and the cartoonist for the Centre for Investigative Journalism.

The International Journalism Festival has invited him to Perugia to live-illustrate speakers during their sessions. His work will be published on IJF channels during the festival.
