Andrea Sarubbi is a member of the Italian Parliament for the Partito Democratico. He was first elected in 2008. His career prior to becoming a member of Parliament was as a journalist. He is perhaps the leading user of Twitter of all Italian MPs and in 2011 set up the now celebrated hashtag #opencamera which has become the main port of call for Italian MPs and citizens who wish to participate in discussion regarding Parliamentary debate and new laws.
