Alessandro Orsini is the director of the Centro per lo Studio del Terrorismo at the University of Rome. He is also a researcher at MIT in Boston and lecturer in the Sociology of Terrorism at the LUISS University in Rome. His articles and research have appeared in specialist international publications.

He is the author of the award-winning Anatomia della Brigate Rosse (2010).
