Journalism in Ukraine faces many challenges, from conflict reporting about the war with Russia, through disinformation and infowar, to freedom of press issues, oligarchy influence and ownership. But on the other hand there are many new initiatives being set up, with reporters finding new ways of telling stories and trying to stay focused in rapidly changing conditions.
This session will be organised just days after the fifth anniversary of the Crimea annexation and between the first and second round of presidential elections which for months have been heating up the public debate. The speakers will provide a first-hand take on what has happened with the media, what their situation is now and where Ukraine is headed.
