Social networks, the end of journalism?

The ever increasing use of social networks - by institutions, politicians, political parties, ordinary citizens, lobbies, various groups - has multiplied the sources of news in competition with traditional media, despite the media’s increasingly "aggressive" use of the same social networks. The exponential multiplication of news of all kinds, often propagandistic or subversive, makes it impossibile for users to verify the sources and the accuracy of the news. Is this the announced end of journalism?
