This panel will guide journalists through the art of using access to information (FOI) laws, with tips on how to integrate requests for documents into your research plan, how to draft requests, where to get help on legal appeals, and how to win court cases. Relevant for journalists from Italy and across Europe, there will be inspiring stories from experienced investigative journalists working on human rights and anti-corruption cases who have successfully brought to light previously secret information. There will be hands-on practical input from right-to-information and legal experts, and we can offer follow-up help for those wanting it.

Organised in association with Access Info Europe, Diritto di Sapere and The Good Lobby.
