What is the status of data-driven journalism? Where are journalists progressing, where are the barriers to get started? Using data for daily reporting might be helpful, but how can journalists and newsrooms overcome the first barriers to make it a regular practice?
This session will unveil first findings from the Global Data Journalism Survey, initiated by Bahareh Heravi (University College Dublin) and Mirko Lorenz (Deutsche Welle, Datawrapper). This session will be followed up by a panel discussion on the state of Data Journalism, and its future directions.
