From the New York Times to the Guardian, US and UK newspapers have been at the forefront of developments in the use of data journalism. In the last few years, media organisations in Spain and Italy, whose journalistic tradition is very different from that of the English-speaking nations, have begun to put greater emphasis on these methodologies. The panel will consider the experience in data journalism of large and small media organisations, with particular focus on the role of freelancers in this sector.
This session is part of the School of Data Journalism organised in association with European Journalism Centre and Open Knowledge Foundation in partnership with Wired Italy
