Ebooks and web-stories: two new channels to report on foreign news – – International Journalism Festival

In Italy, despite the plethora of sources, we seem more and more isolated from the rest of the world. While some brackets of readers and professionals complain about the reduction of the space dedicated to world news by the mainstream media, many journalists opt for "alternative" channels such as ebooks and webstories. Can they replace reports to which news organisations give up? Can they really produce quality content? And are they able to support journalists through appropriate business models?
