Women and sports journalism: the race is on

Sports journalism and women: a mix often made difficult by the prevailing machismo in this sector. Has the situation now changed or are we still far from reaching the coveted gender equality? And if the latter, what are the steps that female sports journalism has yet to accomplish? What accomplishments could be made by young women who are approaching this profession? Is it possible for female journalists today to overcome any lingering prejudice?
