Through this networking session, Amnesty Tech aims to build meaningful coalitions between civil society and investigative journalism. The event is co-organized by European Center for Not-for Profit Law (ECNL) and European Digital Rights (EDRi).
This networking session will provide participants with an opportunity to strategize more effectively on critically conducting investigative reporting on tech harms, while also countering the influence of lobby narratives in tech journalism. We aim to share valuable insights from our global collaborations with civil society and news media organizations, as well as highlight Amnesty Tech’s in-depth quantitative and digital forensic investigations. Topics will include spyware, Big Tech, artificial intelligence, algorithmic decision-making, and their impacts on people's lives.
