The 2012 festival workshops are now online. There are currently 37 workshops to choose from. All festival workshops are free entry. Check the workshops category on the website programme page for full details.
These workshops provide a unique opportunity to augment your knowledge and skills in the company of leading protagonists from the world of journalism, law and technology. Workshop leaders include Heather Brooke freedom of information activist, Sarah Cohen Pulitzer Prize winner, Steve Doig Pulitzer Prize winner, Burt Herman co-founder Storify, Dan Nguyen Propublica, Simon Rogers editor The Guardian Datablog.
Festival workshops are free entry but registration is required. Each workshop will have a limited number of participants. The workshop registration form will be put on the website soon. Workshop registration will begin on 15 March 2012. Please note that it would be wise to register as soon as possible on 15 March to avoid disappointment. Workshop places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
The exception to this first-come, first-served procedure is the set of 5 data journalism workshops organised in association with the European Journalism Centre and the Open Knowledge Foundation. For these 5 workshops registration is already open and workshop participants will be selected. Please fill in this application form (deadline 20 March). These data journalism workshops are also free entry.
