Looking forward to the 2023 International Journalism Festival

The 2023 festival will take place in Perugia from Wednesday 19 to Sunday 23 April.

The English-language part of the festival programme will be on Thursday 20, Friday 21 and Saturday 22 April. On Wednesday 19 and Sunday 23 April there will be only Italian-language sessions.

As in previous years all festival sessions will be free entry for all attendees, without tickets and without the need for registration. For those unable or unwilling to travel to Perugia, all festival sessions will be live-streamed with the on-demand video of each session available immediately afterwards.

If you wish to propose a session (panel discussion, presentation, workshop, interview, other) for #ijf23, kindly fill in and send this form. The deadline for the receipt of proposals is 31 December 2022. If your proposal is accepted, you will be informed by the close of Sunday 8 January 2023.

For attendees who were unable to get into some #ijf22 sessions, please note the following changes which should help to improve matters at #ijf23: all festival venues will (unless Italian public health regulations change by April) be back to full capacity and the smallest #ijf22 venues have been replaced by bigger ones for #ijf23.

For #ijf23 a bus transfer service for festival attendees from Rome Fiumicino airport to Perugia (and from Perugia to Rome Fiumicino airport) will be inaugurated. This transfer service will be simpler and quicker than taking the train. The new transfer service is in response to attendee requests over the years to help facilitate the trip to/from Perugia. More details – including departure times and ticket prices – will be provided in due course.

We look forward to welcoming the festival community back to Perugia in April.
